About Cindy Whittaker
I am a wife, a mother, a CeCe “grandmother”, a daughter and a sister. My favorite things in life are family, photography, travel, and books. My interest in photography started in 1979 with a gift from my husband, A Canon AE-1 camera. With a career in retail, I never took the time to take my camera off of the “auto” setting. In 2007 a move to a new city allowed me to do something I never had time for before. Learn photography. My first class was in the dark room. I was hooked. From there I learned all I could about my camera and photography. I have traveled all over the country learning from some of the best in the industry and I still do so today.
I strive to show my love for the art of photography to come through as I capture and document the love and laughter of children and family. As each day passes it can never be returned. There are no retakes. It is an honor to capture the sleeping pose of a newborn, the 1st birthday, the love of family young and old, or even the happiness of the promise of the future of a High School senior.
These moments pass so quickly. The days and the expressions are gone forever, and yet you can look at these portraits, pick them up and see them daily. Smile and remember exactly how they looked as time has passed.
